Does this sound familiar?

  • You get into bed tired and your mind is still at work.

  • Your shoulders live somewhere near your ears, and you only notice when someone points it out.

  • You catch yourself holding your breath while you read an email.

  • You sigh a lot, or yawn when you are not sleepy.

  • You feel short of breath after a flight of stairs or a long conversation.

  • You have downloaded the meditation apps. They are still on your phone, unopened.

Most of us were never taught how to breathe. Over months and years of pressure, our breathing quietly changes: it gets faster and higher in the chest, and we stop noticing. That pattern then feeds stress back into the body, and round it goes.

Your breath is also one of the few parts of your nervous system you can steer on purpose. Once you understand your own pattern, you can start to change it.

What happens in a session

Every session is 60 minutes, one to one, and shaped around you.

  1. We talk. What brought you in, what is going on in your life right now, and what you would like to feel different.

  2. I assess your breathing. We look at how you breathe mechanically: where the breath moves in your body, and whether anywhere feels stuck. Many people learn to breathe into their chest, neck and shoulders during a stressful period and never unlearn it. We may also look at the chemistry of your breathing, using a simple breath-hold test called the BOLT score to see whether you are over-breathing without realising. Most people are surprised by what they find.

  3. We explore. Based on the assessment, we try breathing techniques and body-based practices suited to you. Some are gentle and calming, others more energising. Not every session involves intense breathwork. We go at your pace.

  4. You leave with a practice. A short routine you can use at your desk or before a difficult conversation.

Who comes to see me

People who are good at their jobs and running on empty to stay that way. People who sleep badly, or feel anxious without always knowing why. People who have tried group breathwork, liked it, and want to go deeper with someone who is paying attention to them in particular. And people who are simply curious about what their breath is doing.

You do not need any experience or flexibility. You just need to show up and breathe.

What clients found

  • The 1:1 Breathwork session was a wonderful experience. Cathy has an incredible ability to listen deeply and intuitively, and she thoughtfully tailored the session using different healing techniques. This allowed me to notice what was resonating most with me in the moment and connect more deeply with the experience. I’m leaving with a profound sense of calm and a feeling of being more grounded and connected. Highly recommend.

  • I had a lovely private breathwork session with Cathy. I especially loved the bodywork and how intuitively she adapted the session to how I was feeling in the moment. I felt really supported and able to connect with my breath and body. She also gave me some great recommendations for after our session. Thank you, Cathy 🤍

  • Cathy's energy was so calming and trusting, and I've found it so empowering to really learn how to connect with my breathing! Each session I've done has been extremely grounding and my entire body felt lighter after. The combination of breath and body work allowed me deep breathing that I'd never felt before, & followed by sound healing that ties the sessions together.

  • Had an amazing breathwork and sound healing workshop with Nasc. The combination was incredible and I left feeling peaceful, grounded and grateful. All the equipment was high quality and the sound bowls were reverberating deep into my soul.

  • Cathy guided me through a 1:1 breathwork and meditation session that felt both deeply supportive and expertly held. She began by clearly explaining the benefits of breathwork and how it relates to the autonomic nervous system. She then led me through a beautifully guided meditation using sound bowls and gentle touch intentionally focusing on different areas of the body after I shared that sound and touch help me access a meditative state. The breathing was incredibly releasing. Throughout the entire session Cathy struck the perfect balance of compassion and professionalism - I felt completely supported at every moment. I left feeling lighter, calmer and genuinely reset. Cathy also sent me away with breathing exercises tailored to my own breathing patterns which I have found so valuable. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

    - Orlagh

  • As a virgin breathworker your instructinos were so clear and helpful, I could really visualise what I was supposed to be doing and the tip to direct our breath towards areas of tension really worked for me! Almost felt like a massage to the quad after a tough run that morning. The soundbath felt transcendental also - did not expect to have such a colourful experience. Perfect Saturday afternoon activity.
